- IMPORTANT - THIS TOOL IS UNSUPPORTED. FOR MACPLUS/SYSTEM 7 USERS ONLY.

- MacTCP+ Tool
- v1.0, Copyright Apple Computer, Inc. 1992.
- All rights reserved.
-
- NOTE: This tool is only intended for users with a Macintosh Plus computer, running
- System 7.
-
- This tool updates the MacTCP 1.1 driver to correct a problem with the reception of
- packets on Macintosh Pluses running System 7.0 or later. The problem is that the
- MacTCP 1.1 socket listener code and the lower levels of AppleTalk v56 LocalTalk code
- each grew in code length and became the critical path for packet delivery. The net
- result is MacTCP 1.1 doesn't always read in the packet quickly enough in a MacPlus
- to prevent an underrun error on the SCC chip, thereby causing a dropped packet.
-
- Again, this tool is unsupported. Use it at your own risk.
-
- The modified driver will work on Apple Macintosh Plus Computers running System 7.
-
- Important Note:
- ---------------
- The MacTCP 1.1 driver update process is irreversible.
- Please make a copy of the original MacTCP 1.1 driver and update a copy.
